Magadh Sugar & Energy Limited reported audited financial results for Q4 and FY 2025-26. Revenue from operations declined to Rs. 1,24,453.71 lakhs from Rs. 1,32,228.50 lakhs in the previous year, representing approximately 5.9% revenue decline. Net profit after tax dropped significantly to Rs. 6,350.76 lakhs from Rs. 10,944.61 lakhs in the previous year, a decline of about 42%. The Board recommended a final dividend of Rs. 12.50 per share (125%) for FY 2025-26, subject to shareholder approval. The company also appointed Mr. Rajan Arvind Dalal as Independent Director for 5 years and re-appointed M/s D Radhakrishnan & Co. as Cost Auditors for FY 2026-27. An exceptional item of Rs. 83.32 lakhs was recognized due to implementation of New Labour Codes. Statutory auditors BSR & Co. LLP issued an unmodified opinion on the financial results.
The stock may face negative sentiment due to significant profit decline of 42% year-on-year despite positive operating cash flows. The dividend recommendation and strong cash generation provide some support. However, the revenue decline and lower profitability are concerning for shareholders.
