Magadh Sugar swings to Rs 12.22 cr net loss in Q1 FY26-27 on weaker revenue

Magadh Sugar posted a net loss of Rs 12.22 crore in Q1 FY26-27 against a profit of Rs 22.34 lakh in the same quarter last year. Revenue from operations fell to Rs 310.54 crore from Rs 333.04 crore, down about 7 percent. The sugar segment swung to a loss of Rs 9.99 crore from a profit of Rs 4.56 crore earlier. Total expenses were largely flat at Rs 327.58 crore. Loss per share stood at Rs 8.67. The Board also appointed Lt Gen Rakesh Kapoor (Retd.) as Independent Director for 5 years.
