Magna Electro Castings posted Q1 FY27 revenue from operations of Rs 50.81 crores, up 4.7% YoY from Rs 48.52 crores. PAT fell 44% YoY to Rs 3.73 crores from Rs 6.66 crores, with EPS at Rs 8.80. Total expenses rose to Rs 46.27 crores, driven by higher material costs and depreciation. Board approved in-principle merger of related party Samrajyaa Precision Machining (machining business) into the company. Also cleared a new in-house machining division at Coimbatore with about Rs 17 crore investment via internal accruals, expected by January 2027.
Mixed quarter with sharp profit dip, but merger and capex signal long-term growth focus; near-term margins may stay under pressure.
