Magnanimous Trade & Finance, a small NBFC based in Jaipur, reported a strong turnaround for Q2 FY26 and H1 FY26. Total income for the half year surged to Rs. 126.02 lakhs from Rs. 54.90 lakhs in H1 FY25, more than doubling year-on-year. Net profit for H1 FY26 was Rs. 67.59 lakhs (EPS Rs. 5.68) compared to a loss of Rs. 60.58 lakhs in H1 FY25. Standalone Q2 FY26 profit stood at Rs. 33.38 lakhs on total income of Rs. 69.03 lakhs, up from Rs. 0.06 lakh and Rs. 32.96 lakhs respectively in Q2 FY25. Interest income for Q2 FY26 doubled to Rs. 68.14 lakhs. The auditor (Gupta & Shah) issued an unqualified limited review report. However, operating cash flow was negative at Rs. (511.36) lakhs and cash balance dropped sharply to Rs. 6.54 lakhs from Rs. 157.34 lakhs. The company carries virtually no debt on its books.
Sharp profit recovery and strong revenue growth are positive signals for shareholders, but the negative operating cash flow and depleted cash balance warrant close monitoring. With a very small equity base (paid-up capital of just Rs. 95.15 lakhs), trading liquidity is likely thin and the stock may see high volatility.
