Magnum Ventures Limited received credit rating affirmation of ACUITE BB (Stable) on its Non-Convertible Debentures worth Rs. 280 crore. The company also refinanced Rs. 150 crore of high-cost debt (previously at 18% interest) with a new term loan from Tourism Finance Corporation of India at a lower rate, bringing down average cost of debt to around 13%. Revenue grew 21% to Rs. 336.26 crore in 9MFY26, driven by higher paper division sales. However, operating margins declined sharply to 13.33% in 9MFY26 from 19.69% in 9MFY25. The company also plans a corporate restructuring via demerger of its paper business into Magnum Paperz Limited by FY28.
The rating reaffirmation with stable outlook indicates the company maintains moderate creditworthiness. The successful debt refinancing reduces financial pressure and extends repayment tenure, which is positive for bondholders. However, declining margins and competitive pressures in the paper and hospitality sectors remain concerns for shareholders.
