Mahamaya Steel Industries reported standalone revenue of Rs 8,828 crore (lakhs in filing) for FY26, up 10.1% from Rs 8,018 crore in FY25. Net profit grew 26.3% to Rs 959.88 lakh from Rs 760.07 lakh, with EPS at Rs 5.84 vs Rs 4.62. The auditors issued an unmodified opinion but included an Emphasis of Matter noting Rs 1,105.69 lakh electricity duty subsidy receivable lacks reasonable certainty of collection. Qualified borrowings rose sharply from Rs 4.21 crore to Rs 18.78 crore during the year. The company redeemed 16 lakh 8% preference shares for Rs 2 crore in May 2026.
Solid profit growth of 26% YoY is positive for shareholders, but the auditors' flag on the Rs 1,105.69 lakh subsidy receivable raises asset quality concerns. The sharp rise in qualified borrowings warrants monitoring of leverage levels.
