Makers Laboratories reported its Q4FY25 and FY25 audited results on May 26, 2025. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell to Rs.4,294.46 lacs from Rs.4,908.85 lacs in FY24, a decline of about 12.5%. However, other income surged to Rs.1,092.35 lacs (vs Rs.115.19 lacs) mainly due to a one-time gain of Rs.1,010 lacs from the sale of property, plant and equipment, which helped the company swing to a profit before tax of Rs.492.86 lacs compared to a loss of Rs.695.78 lacs last year. On a consolidated basis, revenue grew to Rs.12,075.12 lacs (vs Rs.10,438.94 lacs), driven by subsidiary contribution. Despite the headline profit turnaround, operating cash flows were negative (Rs.689.63 lacs standalone, Rs.1,583.92 lacs consolidated). The auditor (Natvarlal Vepari & Co LLP) issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both sets of results. The board also re-appointed Mr. Vishal Jain as Independent Director for a second 5-year term effective November 4, 2025.
The headline return to profitability is largely driven by a one-time asset sale gain rather than core operations, while underlying revenue declined and operating cash flows turned negative — this mixed picture may limit positive stock reaction despite the cleaner bottom line.
