Manappuram Finance's board approved audited Q4 and FY25 (ended March 31, 2025) results on May 9, 2025. Consolidated total income rose to Rs. 10,074.94 cr from Rs. 8,920.09 cr YoY (~13% growth), but consolidated profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 1,203.81 cr from Rs. 2,197.47 cr (down ~45%), hurt by the Micro Finance segment reporting a loss of Rs. 811 cr versus a Rs. 627 cr profit last year. Standalone performance was healthier, with PAT rising to Rs. 1,743 cr from Rs. 1,658 cr. The board declared an interim dividend of Rs. 0.50 per share (25% on face value of Rs. 2) with record date May 15, 2025. It also approved investing up to Rs. 500 cr in compulsorily convertible preference shares of subsidiary Asirvad Micro Finance and revised remuneration for MD and Executive Director. Auditors issued an unmodified opinion with an Emphasis of Matter on a Rs. 19.78 cr embezzlement at subsidiary MACOM and the now-lifted RBI restrictions on Asirvad Micro Finance.
Mixed picture for shareholders: consolidated earnings took a big hit from Micro Finance losses, but the gold loan core business stayed strong, an interim dividend is declared, and a Rs. 500 cr capital infusion signals confidence in the subsidiary's turnaround. The stock may see pressure on weak consolidated numbers but support from the dividend and recovery signals at AMFL.
