Manappuram Finance's Board approved audited consolidated and standalone results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2025. Total consolidated income from operations grew to Rs. 10,074.94 crores from Rs. 8,920.09 crores, but consolidated profit for the year fell sharply to Rs. 1,203.81 crores from Rs. 2,197.41 crores, dragged by losses in the Microfinance segment (Asirvad Micro Finance) which swung to a Rs. 811.01 crore loss from a Rs. 627.54 crore profit last year. Standalone performance remained relatively stable with PAT of Rs. 1,743.25 crores vs Rs. 1,657.77 crores. The Board declared an interim dividend of Rs. 0.50 per share (25%) with record date May 15, 2025, and approved up to Rs. 500 crore investment in Asirvad Micro Finance via compulsory convertible preference shares. The auditors (KKC & Associates and Chokshi & Chokshi) issued an unmodified opinion, but flagged two emphasis-of-matter items.
Short-term: Mixed signals — dividend declaration rewards shareholders, but a sharp drop in consolidated profit driven by Asirvad Micro Finance losses and the Rs. 500 crore capital infusion indicate the subsidiary remains under stress. The RBI's earlier business restrictions on Asirvad (now lifted) and the Rs. 19.78 crore embezzlement at MACOM subsidiary are concerns worth monitoring. Shareholders should expect continued focus on resolving microfinance stress.
