Market wrap: Infosys, Dr Reddy's Labs, Tata Motors PV, Power Grid top gainers and losers on Nifty and Sensex on Monday

Indian benchmark indices suffered a sharp sell-off on Monday, with the Nifty 50 falling 360.25 points or 1.56 percent to close at 22,780.25 and the Sensex plunging 1,124.02 points or 1.52 percent to 72,771.72, wiping out about Rs 8 lakh crore in investor wealth. The broader markets also declined, with Nifty Smallcap 100 down 1.85 percent and Nifty Midcap 100 falling 1.63 percent, while India VIX surged 12.54 percent to 13.69. All sectoral indices ended in the red, led by PSU Bank which crashed over 3 percent and Realty which fell more than 2 percent, as 2,716 of 3,676 stocks traded on the NSE closed lower.
