On the reaction day the stock moved 0.1 pts more than Nifty 100 and 0.7 pts more than its Passenger Cars & Utility Vehicles peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

The West Bengal GST authority issued an order over GST credit claimed from April 2018 to March 2023. It demands Rs 0.02 million in tax, Rs 1.22 million in interest and Rs 1.20 million in penalty. Maruti Suzuki received it on October 16, 2025 and will appeal.
The total demand is Rs 2.44 million, with no major financial or operational effect. The planned appeal leaves some tax uncertainty for shareholders.
