Maruti Suzuki reported Q2 FY27 sales volume of 696,654, up 26.5%, and net sales of INR 506,155 million, up 26.1%. Operating EBITDA fell 6.3% year on year and profit after tax fell 26.9% to INR 24,149 million as material costs rose to 79.9% of sales from 75.7%. Against Q1, operating EBITDA improved 10.5%. Management cited West Asia-related commodity prices, adverse currency movement and lower non-operating income.
Strong volume growth was offset by weaker margins and profit, so the stock may face pressure despite sequential operating improvement.
