Mawana Sugars Limited reported audited financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2026. Standalone revenue grew 8.2% year-on-year to Rs. 1,564 crore, driven by power and distillery segments. However, profit after tax declined significantly by 48.6% to Rs. 36.72 crore from Rs. 71.40 crore in FY25, primarily due to lower sugar segment performance and higher input costs. Operating profit fell 21.9% to Rs. 54.64 crore. Exceptional items of Rs. 9.43 crore represent reversal of labour code provisions. The Board deferred dividend consideration and scheduled the 62nd AGM for July 4, 2026. The company also disclosed extension of a related party property purchase agreement with Usha International Limited. S.R. Batliboi & Co. LLP issued an unmodified (clean) audit opinion.
The significant PAT decline of 48.6% may concern investors, though positive operating cash flow of Rs. 75.67 crore and clean audit opinion provide some reassurance. Margin compression in the sugar segment remains a key watch item.
