Mawana Sugars reported FY2026 standalone revenue of Rs. 1,564.16 crore, up 8.2% from Rs. 1,445.09 crore in FY2025. However, profit after tax (PAT) fell sharply to Rs. 36.72 crore from Rs. 71.40 crore — a 48.6% decline. The company posted strong Q4 FY2026 PAT of Rs. 62.98 crore versus just Rs. 3.77 crore in Q3, driven by a Rs. 9.43 crore reversal of labour code provisions (exceptional item). Sugar segment profit halved to Rs. 44.56 crore due to higher input costs, while power segment profit doubled to Rs. 41.36 crore. Auditors issued an unmodified (clean) opinion. Dividend was deferred for later board consideration. The AGM is scheduled for July 4, 2026.
The 48.6% PAT decline despite 8% revenue growth signals margin pressure in the core sugar business. Q4 recovery driven by exceptional items reversal may provide some relief, but investors should monitor the pending merger of Mawana Foods and ongoing sugar sector headwinds.
