Mega Corporation Limited's board approved audited standalone results for FY25. Total income rose to ₹614.39 lakhs from ₹424.46 lakhs in FY24 (~45% growth), driven by interest income which grew 57% to ₹601.61 lakhs. However, finance costs surged ~77% to ₹419.20 lakhs, leading to a 31% fall in profit before tax to ₹36.74 lakhs. Profit after tax was nearly flat at ₹25.03 lakhs (FY24: ₹25.94 lakhs), while total comprehensive income more than doubled to ₹98.93 lakhs on fair value gains. Q4 FY25 PAT jumped to ₹13.54 lakhs from ₹1.88 lakhs. The company raised equity capital via a rights issue during the year, doubling paid-up capital to ₹2,000 lakhs. The auditor issued an unmodified opinion, though there was a resignation of the statutory auditor during the year.
Strong top-line growth is encouraging, but rising finance costs are squeezing profitability, and operating cash flows remain heavily negative (₹2,154.90 lakhs vs ₹1,142.25 lakhs). The rights issue strengthens the balance sheet but dilutes existing shareholders. EPS doubled to ₹0.08, though the headline PAT growth remains muted.
