The Board of Mega Corporation approved its standalone unaudited financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended 30 June 2025) at a meeting held on 6 August 2025. Total revenue from operations rose to Rs. 190.17 lakhs, up about 58% from Rs. 120.19 lakhs in the same quarter last year, driven mainly by interest income which suggests the company operates like a financial/NBFC-type entity. Profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs. 28.16 lakhs from just Rs. 3.44 lakhs a year ago, helped by strong revenue growth and relatively contained expense increases. However, finance costs remain high at Rs. 105.22 lakhs (about 55% of revenue), and the company's share capital doubled during FY25 (from Rs. 1,000 lakhs to Rs. 2,000 lakhs), which affects per-share comparisons. The auditor (Manish Pandey & Associates) issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
The results show strong top-line growth and a major improvement in profitability year-on-year, which is positive for shareholders, but the low absolute profit and EPS (Rs. 0.01) reflect the company's small scale. Investors should watch whether this growth momentum and margin improvement sustain in coming quarters.
