MIC Electronics' board approved unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025). Standalone revenue from operations rose to Rs. 1,161.21 lakhs, up about 8.4% from Rs. 1,071.46 lakhs in Q1 FY25. However, profit after tax slipped to Rs. 166.70 lakhs from Rs. 196.52 lakhs, a decline of roughly 15% year-on-year. The earnings drop was driven mainly by sharply higher finance costs (Rs. 167.40 lakhs vs Rs. 45.85 lakhs) and a jump in depreciation (Rs. 90.81 lakhs vs Rs. 38.87 lakhs). The LED Products segment remained the biggest contributor at Rs. 1,129.88 lakhs in revenue. Statutory auditors M/s. Bhavani & Co. issued an unqualified limited review report on both standalone and consolidated numbers.
Mixed quarter for shareholders — topline growth held up, but rising interest and depreciation costs ate into profits. Investors should keep an eye on the steep rise in finance costs, which signals higher debt burden and could pressure future margins if revenue growth doesn't accelerate.
