Mideast Integrated Steels Limited (MESCO STEEL) informed BSE that its Board Meeting scheduled for May 30, 2026 approved the audited standalone and consolidated financial results for Q4 and FY ended March 31, 2026, along with noting the statutory audit report and CEO/CFO certifications. The Board approved appointment of Mrs. Rita Singh (76 years) as Additional Director and Executive Whole-Time Director, Mrs. Natasha Singh (55 years) as Additional Director, and re-appointment of Mr. Asit Kumar Ray as Additional Director, all subject to shareholder approval. The Board accepted resignation of Mrs. Shipra Singh Rana as Whole-time Director. Additionally, the Board approved sale of 2,50,000 equity shares held in Mesco Steel Limited at ₹48.22 per share, resolved all pending Income Tax cases, activated debarred Demat accounts, settled ex-gratia payments of ₹38.48 crore to Plant staff, and filed a Supreme Court application for expedited sale of 8,60,616 MT of iron ore stock.
Shareholders may see positive sentiment from resolution of legal/regulatory issues and the share sale decision, but the resignation of a Whole-time Director and appointment of elderly directors may raise governance concerns. The iron ore stock sale, if approved, could improve liquidity.
