Midwest Gold Ltd's board, meeting on 19th February 2026, approved issuing up to 10,00,000 equity shares (face value Rs. 10) at Rs. 2,000 per share on a preferential basis, for an aggregate consideration of up to Rs. 200 crores. Allottees include existing promoter Kollareddy Rama Raghava Reddy (3,75,000 shares), promoter Soumya Kukreti (2,00,000 shares), promoter Kollareddy Ranganayakamma (25,000 shares), and around 50 other individuals and one LLP (EzResolve LLP) from the promoter group and non-promoter public category. The move will dilute existing shareholders by about 14% (pre-issue shareholding of 71.31 lakh shares rising to 81.31 lakh). An EGM has been fixed for 14th March 2026 to seek shareholder approval, and a monitoring agency is being appointed since the issue size exceeds Rs. 100 crores.
Existing public shareholders will see their stake diluted by roughly 3-4 percentage points as promoter holding stays around 57-58% post-issue, while a large chunk of the Rs. 200 crore raise is going to promoter entities, which signals promoter commitment but also brings significant equity dilution for retail holders.
