Minaxi Textiles (BSE: 531456), a small Gujarat-based textile company, announced H1 FY26 results. Revenue from operations came in at around Rs. 1,241 lakhs, down roughly 26% from about Rs. 1,678 lakhs in H1 FY25. Despite this top-line fall, the company swung to a net profit of around Rs. 146 lakhs versus a net loss of about Rs. 80 lakhs in the year-ago period. The turnaround was driven mainly by a sharp drop in raw-material costs and a one-time gain of roughly Rs. 304 lakhs from the sale of leasehold land booked under other income. The board flagged ongoing going-concern concerns, noting prior years of cash losses and a debt-restructuring exercise done in FY22. Operating cash flow stayed negative at about Rs. (64) lakhs in H1 FY26, and total borrowings of roughly Rs. 1,244 lakhs against shareholder equity of about Rs. 405 lakhs point to a stretched, leveraged balance sheet.
The headline profit swing is largely a one-time land-sale effect, not a real recovery in textile demand — with revenue contracting, cash flow still negative, going-concern flag active, and debt more than 3x equity, the underlying business remains weak and the stock is unlikely to see durable upside without operational improvement.
