Mitsu Chem Plast submitted its Annual Report for FY 2024-25. Total Income rose about 6.6% to ₹33,287.97 lakhs from ₹31,228.31 lakhs in FY 2023-24. However, operating profit (PBIDT) fell around 9.3% to ₹2,328.32 lakhs, and Profit After Tax dropped roughly 18% to ₹725.08 lakhs (from ₹886.22 lakhs). The decline was driven by higher interest and finance costs (up ~26% to ₹879.79 lakhs) and lower depreciation, which wasn't enough to offset margin pressure. EBITDA margin compressed to about 7%, and ROCE/ROE also slipped to 9.89% and 7.48% respectively. The Board has recommended a final dividend of ₹0.20 per share (2%), and the AGM is set for September 4, 2025.
Mixed signal for shareholders — revenue is growing but profitability is weakening, with margins and returns on capital both shrinking. The small dividend keeps some yield, but rising interest costs and falling PAT may weigh on the stock until margin recovery is visible.
