Modi Naturals Ltd reported audited results for FY25. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations fell about 5.5% to ₹33,800.97 lakhs from ₹35,776.61 lakhs a year ago, but net profit surged roughly 8x to ₹764.60 lakhs from ₹91.15 lakhs, driven by sharp margin expansion and lower raw material costs. On a consolidated basis (including subsidiary Modi Biotech Pvt Ltd), revenue jumped about 66% to ₹66,291.28 lakhs and the company swung from a loss of ₹137.84 lakhs to a profit of ₹3,102.57 lakhs, helped by a one-time release of ₹1,122.82 lakhs in accumulated GST input credit at the subsidiary. Standalone Q4 saw a small loss of ₹9.16 lakhs versus a profit of ₹143.61 lakhs in Q4FY24, mainly due to a higher tax provision. The statutory auditors (Doogar & Associates) issued an unmodified/unqualified opinion on both sets of results.
The strong full-year profit growth and clean audit opinion are positive signals, supported by improved operating cashflows and reduced borrowings on a standalone basis. However, the standalone revenue decline, the small Q4 standalone loss, and the heavy reliance on subsidiary-driven and one-time GST credit gains for consolidated numbers are points investors should weigh.
