Mohite Industries' Board, at its January 14, 2026 meeting, approved the issuance of 1,500 Non-Convertible Debentures (NCDs) on a private placement basis, aggregating to Rs. 150 Crore. Each NCD has a face value of Rs. 10 lakh and is issued at par. The NCDs carry an interest rate of 11% per annum, payable half-yearly at 5.55%, with no moratorium. Principal will be repaid in 20 equal semi-annual installments of Rs. 7.50 Crore each, spread between 30 and 144 months. The NCDs are secured against the company's factory buildings, land, power house, tailrace construction, and plant & machinery located in Kolhapur, Maharashtra. The instruments are unrated and will not be listed on any stock exchange.
The company is raising Rs. 150 Crore of debt (no equity dilution), which will increase its debt burden and interest obligations (approx. Rs. 16.5 Crore per year initially), but provides long-term funding of up to 12 years. Pledging key factory and plant assets as security slightly increases risk for existing lenders and future creditors.
