On the reaction day the stock moved 0.2 pts less than its Stockbroking & Allied peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The board approved splitting each fully paid equity share of Rs 10 into five shares of Rs 2. Paid-up equity shares will rise from 79,308,338 to 396,541,690, while authorized equity shares rise from 89,000,000 to 445,000,000. The company aims to make shares more affordable and improve liquidity. Shareholder and other approvals are pending; completion is planned within two months of approval.
A 1:5 split can lower the per-share price proportionately, with no change in shareholder value. It may improve affordability and trading activity.
