Monotype India Ltd reported a weak Q3 FY26 with revenue from operations of Rs. 2,041.54 lakhs, down about 60% from Rs. 5,155.91 lakhs in the same quarter last year. The company slipped into a loss of Rs. 7.42 lakhs for the quarter compared to a profit of Rs. 8.83 lakhs (Rs. 88.60 lakhs pre-tax) in Q3 FY25. For the nine months ended December 2025, total income fell to Rs. 4,843.56 lakhs from Rs. 6,200.32 lakhs a year ago, and the company posted a loss of Rs. 36.77 lakhs versus a profit of Rs. 593.54 lakhs in the prior period. The previous quarter (Q2 FY26) had unusually low revenue of just Rs. 1.62 lakhs, so Q3 shows some recovery but remains far below year-ago levels. The statutory auditor (B.M. Gattani & Co.) issued a clean, unqualified limited review report with no qualifications or emphasis of matter.
Sharp revenue contraction and a return to losses are clearly negative for shareholders and likely to weigh on the stock. Investors should watch for recovery in the core 'other financial services' business before expecting a turnaround.
