Motherson Sumi Wiring India reported FY25 total revenue from operations of ₹9,320.28 cr, up about 12% YoY from ₹8,328.25 cr. However, profit for the year fell to ₹605.86 cr from ₹638.30 cr (down ~5%), with Q4 PAT declining ~14% YoY to ₹164.93 cr. Profit before tax margin compressed from 10.15% to 8.64%, hurt by higher employee and other expenses. Net cash from operations nearly halved to ₹364.82 cr (vs ₹791.14 cr) due to a sharp rise in trade receivables and inventories. The Board has recommended a final dividend of Re. 0.35 per share (35% on face value of Re. 1), subject to shareholder approval. The auditor (S.R. Batliboi & Co LLP) issued an unmodified opinion.
Mixed bag for shareholders — healthy double-digit revenue growth is offset by shrinking margins, weaker profits, and a steep drop in operating cash flow. The modest dividend and margin pressure are likely to weigh on near-term sentiment despite strong top-line momentum.
