The Motor & General Finance posted consolidated net profit of Rs 110.63 lakh for Q2 FY26, up sharply from Rs 30.87 lakh a year ago. H1 FY26 net profit rose to Rs 133.64 lakh versus Rs 61.97 lakh last year. Total income for the quarter grew to Rs 323.56 lakh, helped by Rs 42 lakh enhancement compensation and Rs 54.31 lakh gain on sale of associate Jayabharat Credit shares. Core revenue from operations was broadly flat at Rs 168.04 lakh. Statutory auditors issued an unmodified review with an Emphasis of Matter on the associate share sale and related impairment.
Profit jump is driven mostly by one-time gains from selling an associate stake, not core operations. Watch if earnings stay strong without such boosts.
