MRPL board declared an interim dividend of Rs 3 per share (30%) for FY 2026-27 with record date Oct 21, 2026. Q2 standalone profit rose sharply to Rs 1,881 cr from Rs 639 cr a year ago on revenue of Rs 35,590 cr. H1 FY27 profit reached Rs 2,796 cr versus Rs 367 cr last year. A fire at the Coker Hydrotreater unit caused an Rs 119 cr exceptional loss, offset by a Rs 472 cr positive price revision.
Positive for shareholders via healthy dividend payout and strong earnings growth; fire loss is insured and partly offset by prior period gains.
