Mukand Limited reported FY2025-26 standalone profit after tax of Rs 634.69 crore, a massive jump from Rs 86.95 crore in the prior year, driven primarily by land sale proceeds of approximately Rs 555 crore recognized in Other Income during Q4. Consolidated PAT was Rs 604.15 crore versus Rs 75.89 crore in FY25. Revenue from operations remained nearly flat at Rs 4,762 crore (standalone) and Rs 4,890 crore (consolidated) compared to prior year. The company completed sale of land parcels at Dighe and Kalwe, with additional land classified as Assets Held for Sale (Rs 7.57 crore standalone). The Industrial Machinery Division was transferred to Mukand Heavy Engineering Ltd (wholly-owned subsidiary) via slump sale for Rs 45.78 crore. Board recommended dividend of Rs 3 per share (30%) including a special Re 1 payout to celebrate Bajaj Group's 100 years. The company plans to infuse up to Rs 160 crore into its subsidiary.
The exceptional land sale gains inflated profits by over 7x year-on-year, but underlying revenue growth is flat. Negative operating cash flow of Rs 483 crore (standalone) and significant inventory buildup of Rs 418 crore are concerns. Shareholders may see limited direct benefit as the profits are largely non-recurring.
