Mukesh Babu Financial Services Ltd reported a strong turnaround in Q3 FY26. On a standalone basis, the company posted a net profit of Rs 121.70 lakh versus a loss of Rs 62.46 lakh in Q3 FY25, with total income rising to Rs 347.82 lakh from Rs 16.63 lakh YoY. Interest income grew to Rs 112 lakh (from Rs 63 lakh) and dividend income rose to Rs 13.32 lakh. On a consolidated basis, profit after minority interest jumped to Rs 177.02 lakh from a loss of Rs 183.98 lakh, supported by a sharp rise in other operating revenue and other income. EPS improved to Rs 1.75 (standalone) and Rs 3.28 (consolidated) from negative figures last year. The statutory auditor issued an unqualified review opinion on both sets of results.
A clear swing back to profitability, both standalone and consolidated, should be viewed positively by shareholders, though the heavy reliance on 'other income' (likely mark-to-market gains) suggests the core earnings quality should be watched closely.
