On the reaction day the stock moved 1.1 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 1.3 pts more than its Capital Markets peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
MCX has fixed Friday, January 02, 2026, as the record date for the sub-division (share split) of its equity shares. Every 1 equity share with a face value of Rs. 10 will be split into 5 equity shares with a face value of Rs. 2 each. The split was approved by shareholders at a meeting held on September 13, 2025. Shareholders holding shares as of the record date will be eligible to receive the sub-divided shares. The disclosure has been made under Regulation 42 of SEBI's Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements.
The share split will reduce the per-share price to roughly one-fifth of its current level, making MCX shares more affordable and improving liquidity and retail participation. There is no change in the company's overall market capitalisation or fundamentals — existing shareholders will simply hold 5 shares of Rs. 2 face value for every 1 share of Rs. 10 previously held.
