N G Industries Ltd reported unaudited standalone results for Q3 FY26 showing net sales of Rs. 428.67 lakhs, up about 7% from Rs. 399.66 lakhs in Q3 FY25. Other income for the quarter dropped sharply to Rs. 27.02 lakhs versus Rs. 765.68 lakhs in the year-ago quarter, which the company attributes to lower dividend income and capital gains from investment sales. Total income stood at Rs. 455.69 lakhs against Rs. 1,165.34 lakhs in Q3 FY25. Profit after tax for the quarter came in at Rs. 42.46 lakhs (EPS Rs. 1.27), down from Rs. 671.12 lakhs a year ago. For the nine months ended December 2025, net sales were nearly flat at Rs. 1,203.35 lakhs versus Rs. 1,207.83 lakhs last year, while nine-month PAT fell to Rs. 104.61 lakhs from Rs. 1,017.36 lakhs due to the lower investment-related income. The statutory auditor M.R. Singhwi & Co issued a clean limited review report with no qualifications.
The operating business looks stable with modest sequential growth in net sales, but the sharp drop in PAT versus last year is almost entirely explained by the absence of large one-time investment gains that boosted the prior-year base. Shareholders should note that headline earnings comparisons are distorted by investment-income volatility rather than a deterioration in core operations.
