Nalin Lease Finance Ltd reported audited FY25 results with total income of ₹729.50 lakhs, down about 5.6% from ₹773.18 lakhs in FY24. Net profit after tax fell to ₹352.34 lakhs from ₹384.98 lakhs (down ~8.5%), and EPS slipped to ₹5.37 from ₹5.87. The March quarter was notably weak, with total income down roughly 30% year-on-year and PAT down around 40%, hurt by a ₹51.03 lakh net loss on fair value changes versus an ₹18.53 lakh gain a year ago. On the balance sheet, the loan book grew about 23.6% to ₹2,972.14 lakhs while borrowings were sharply cut from ₹366.18 to ₹112.73 lakhs, leaving the company almost net-debt-free with equity at ₹3,505.68 lakhs. Operating cash flow, however, swung to a negative ₹304.44 lakhs (from a positive ₹114.01 lakhs) as cash was deployed into expanding loans.
Mixed picture for shareholders: weaker top line, lower PAT, and a sharp swing to negative operating cash flow are negatives, but the company is significantly deleveraged and growing its loan book, with a clean, unmodified audit opinion. Investors should watch the revenue and fair-value volatility, but the strong equity base provides a cushion.
