National Fertilizers Limited reported standalone net profit of Rs 169.65 crores for FY2025-26, a strong 122% increase from Rs 76.26 crores in the previous year. Revenue from operations grew to Rs 21,514.18 crores from Rs 19,794.50 crores, an increase of about 8.7%. The company recognized subsidy income of Rs 1,479.97 crores on DAP and TSP fertilizers based on government operational guidelines, which boosted profitability. Gross profit improved to Rs 887.35 crores from Rs 702.87 crores. The consolidated net profit stood at Rs 211.49 crores. Auditors issued unmodified opinions on both standalone and consolidated financial statements. Debt-equity ratio increased significantly from 0.72 to 1.39.
The company delivered exceptional PAT growth of over 100%, driven by higher subsidy recognition and improved operational performance. However, the sharp increase in debt levels and reliance on subsidy income warrant monitoring. The auditors flagged a going concern issue for joint venture Urvarak Videsh Limited.
