National Fittings Limited reported audited results for FY25 with net sales of Rs. 78.13 crore, up modestly from Rs. 76.53 crore in FY24 (about 2% growth). Total income stood at Rs. 81.10 crore versus Rs. 78.02 crore a year ago. Core operating profit before exceptional items actually fell to Rs. 7.02 crore from Rs. 8.02 crore, showing pressure on the main business. Net profit after tax jumped sharply to Rs. 23.30 crore from Rs. 5.84 crore, but this was driven almost entirely by a one-time exceptional gain of Rs. 19.22 crore from selling its Thekkalur and Dindigul units for Rs. 41.50 crore. EPS rose to Rs. 25.66 from Rs. 6.43. The board has recommended a 10% dividend and plans to use the sale proceeds to set up a new modern manufacturing facility.
The headline profit numbers look strong but are largely a one-time boost from asset sales rather than improved core operations. Underlying business profits actually shrank, so the real earnings power is weaker than it appears. Shareholders get a 10% dividend, and the company is now nearly debt-free with Rs. 44.20 crore in cash, which is a positive balance sheet signal for future investment.
