Navneet Education Ltd reported standalone revenue from operations of Rs 1,683 Crores for FY26, down from Rs 1,733 Crores in FY25, representing a decline of about 3%. Profit after tax fell significantly to Rs 296 Crores from Rs 801 Crores in the previous year, largely due to lower exceptional items. FY25 exceptional items of Rs 604 Crores included gains from K12 Techno Services divestment, while FY26 exceptional items were Rs 127 Crores. The company declared a second interim dividend of Rs 1.50 per share (75%) for FY26. EBITDA margin compressed from approximately 19.6% to 18% year-on-year. The auditor issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results.
The significant decline in PAT is primarily due to non-recurring exceptional gains in the previous year; underlying business showed modest decline in revenue. The dividend declaration signals management confidence, but investors should note the revenue contraction and margin pressure in the core education content and stationery business.
