On the reaction day the stock moved 0.6 pts more than Nifty Smallcap 250 and 0.8 pts more than its Civil Construction peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.

NHAI has debarred NCC Limited and its step-down subsidiary O B Infrastructure Limited (OBIL) for 2 years from 17 Feb 2026, barring them from any NHAI tenders or bids. The order relates to a BOT highway project in Uttar Pradesh. OBIL says the project was delayed due to NHAI's own breaches and had won a favorable arbitration award in Nov 2024, which NHAI is challenging in Delhi High Court. OBIL plans to challenge the debarment as well. No impact on existing order book or ongoing projects.
May miss future NHAI work for 2 years, but no immediate hit to existing projects. Company will legally challenge the order.
