On the reaction day the stock moved 1.5 pts more than Nifty Microcap 250 and 2.2 pts more than its TV Broadcasting & Software Production peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
NDTV approved unaudited Q2 results. Consolidated revenue rose 5.9% to Rs 129.47 crore, while net loss was Rs 63.51 crore versus Rs 74.01 crore. Standalone revenue rose 22.0%. Consolidated H1 net loss was Rs 145.39 crore and operating cash outflow was Rs 89.32 crore. The board approved issuance of up to Rs 800 crore of unsecured, non-convertible perpetual debentures, subject to approvals. Prior figures reflect four companies merged into NDTV.
Revenue growth helps, but losses and cash burn persist. A perpetual issue may aid liquidity without dilution, but may increase finance costs.
