Neeraj Paper Marketing Ltd reported FY25 revenue of Rs. 19,686.63 lakhs, up about 24% from Rs. 15,839.03 lakhs in FY24, driven mainly by higher purchase of stock-in-trade (paper trading). However, net profit dropped sharply to Rs. 24.66 lakhs from Rs. 57.02 lakhs, and profit before tax fell to Rs. 43 lakhs from Rs. 79.59 lakhs. Q4 FY25 alone slipped into a loss — PBT of Rs. (6.46) lakhs and PAT of Rs. (11.90) lakhs — because Punjab National Bank charged additional interest after year-end. Operating cash flow improved strongly to Rs. 1,317.38 lakhs (vs Rs. 0.52 lakhs last year), and the statutory auditor Goel Singhal & Associates issued an unqualified opinion. The board also appointed a new internal auditor, Maa & Company, for FY25-26.
A mixed result for shareholders — strong top-line growth is offset by a steep fall in profits and a quarterly loss caused by a one-time bank interest charge. Margin compression and weak bottom-line print may weigh on the stock in the near term despite the clean audit and healthy operating cash generation.
