Nelcast Limited's board approved audited results for the quarter and year ended March 31, 2025. Revenue from operations for FY25 was Rs. 1,251.68 crore, marginally down from Rs. 1,266.94 crore in FY24, while Q4 FY25 revenue grew about 11.6% YoY to Rs. 329.75 crore. Profit after tax fell sharply to Rs. 37.29 crore (FY25) from Rs. 54.41 crore (FY24), a decline of about 31.5%, partly due to lower exceptional items (profit on sale of land: Rs. 3.76 crore vs Rs. 17.80 crore last year). The board recommended a dividend of Rs. 0.50 per share (25%) subject to shareholder approval, and the 43rd AGM is scheduled for August 1, 2025. Statutory auditor K. Nagaraju & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion on both standalone and consolidated results. Operating cash flow improved strongly to Rs. 104.83 crore from Rs. 20.45 crore, and the company holds a credit rating of ICRA A (Stable) with long-term borrowings of Rs. 68.03 crore.
Mixed set of results: top-line slightly lower and bottom-line down sharply YoY, but Q4 shows recovery, operating cash flow is much stronger, and the auditor has given a clean opinion. The small Rs. 0.50 dividend may be modest consolation for shareholders given the earnings decline.
