NHPC Q1 FY27 standalone revenue from operations rose 18.8% YoY to Rs 3,537 cr; total income Rs 3,742 cr. PAT rose 3.9% to Rs 1,113 cr. Finance costs jumped to Rs 602 cr from Rs 252 cr. Operating margin expanded to 46.7% from 43.1%. One 250 MW unit of Subansiri Lower commissioned, adding Rs 574 cr in provisional sales. Teesta-V resumed in July 2026. No debt defaults. Auditors gave clean limited review.
Margin expansion and new capacity addition are positives, but sharply higher finance costs could pressure earnings in coming quarters.
