NIIT Limited posted Q1 FY26 consolidated revenue from operations of Rs. 841.17 Million, up modestly from Rs. 824.75 Million in the same quarter last year (~2% YoY growth). Total income rose to Rs. 1,078.26 Million from Rs. 992.29 Million, helped by higher other income. However, profit before tax fell sharply to Rs. 50.03 Million (from Rs. 97.54 Million) and profit after tax dropped to Rs. 41.92 Million (from Rs. 81.95 Million), a roughly 49% YoY decline, dragged down by higher employee and outsourcing costs plus exceptional items of Rs. 19.26 Million. Basic EPS for continuing operations stood at Rs. 0.32 vs Rs. 0.57 a year ago. The results include the first contribution from newly acquired iamneo Edutech (70% stake bought for Rs. 608.90 Million on April 17, 2025), and IFBI is now a wholly owned subsidiary.
Mixed near-term impact — topline is steady but profitability has compressed sharply due to rising costs and acquisition-related expenses, which may weigh on short-term sentiment. Longer term, the iamneo acquisition and full ownership of IFBI could support future growth.
