Nippon Life India Asset Management's board approved its Q1 FY26 (quarter ended June 30, 2025) unaudited financial results along with an amendment to the ESOP 2019, extending the exercise period from 7 to 9 years, subject to shareholder approval. On a standalone basis, revenue from operations rose to ₹563.54 crore (up ~20.9% YoY from ₹466.27 crore) and profit after tax climbed to ₹385.29 crore (up ~21.7% YoY from ₹316.64 crore), with EPS of ₹6.07. On a consolidated basis, PAT grew to ₹396.12 crore (up ~19% YoY), operating profit jumped 23% YoY to ₹3.78 billion, and total income stood at ₹7.53 billion. Average AUM for mutual funds hit ₹6.13 trillion (up 27% YoY), with the company calling itself the fastest-growing AMC among the top 10. A final dividend of ₹10 per share for FY25 was approved by shareholders on July 18 and paid on July 21.
Strong quarter with record-high operating profit and PAT, healthy AUM growth, and improving margins should be viewed positively by shareholders, though the SEBI show cause notice flagged by the auditor remains a watch item. The ESOP amendment giving employees two more years to exercise options is a routine governance update and is largely neutral for shareholders.
