On the reaction day the stock moved 6.7 pts more than Nifty Midcap 150 and 6.5 pts more than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
The board approved a 15% interim dividend of Rs 1.50 per share for FY2026-27 and set 12 November 2026 as the record date. Q2 consolidated revenue was Rs 4,732.35 crore and profit for company owners was Rs 1,380.67 crore, helped by a Rs 863.31 crore net tax credit. It also approved up to Rs 2,500 crore of bonds, a 660 MW NUPPL expansion, and the sale of up to 10 crore NLC India Renewables shares for its planned IPO.
Eligible shareholders gain Rs 1.50 per share. Expansion aids growth, but the Rs 2,500 crore bond plan raises debt risk.
