On the reaction day the stock moved 3.7 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 4.3 pts less than its Power Generation peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Q2 standalone revenue rose 19.9% to Rs 2,564.91 crore and profit after tax rose 43% to Rs 485.49 crore. Consolidated revenue was Rs 4,178.41 crore, but profit fell 26% to Rs 724.80 crore. Auditors flagged uncertainty over continued operations due to a Neyveli mining land shortage and noted Rs 407.32 crore of disputed tax recoveries as a liability. The board also approved up to Rs 666 crore for green energy and Rs 1,200 crore of refinancing.
Standalone profit growth supports sentiment, but land shortages, disputed recoveries and funding needs could weigh on the stock and increase risk.
