Northern Spirits Limited, a Kolkata-based trader and distributor of wines and spirits, posted strong FY25 results with total income rising about 57% year-on-year to roughly Rs. 194.3 crore (from Rs. 123.6 crore in FY24). Profit after tax for the full year grew around 38.6% to about Rs. 22.97 crore, lifting EPS to Rs. 14.33 from Rs. 10.32. However, the fourth-quarter picture was weak: Q4 FY25 PAT fell sharply to Rs. 2.09 crore versus Rs. 4.85 crore in Q4 FY24, even though Q4 revenue more than doubled to Rs. 46.6 crore. The auditor M/s JKSS & Associates issued an unmodified (clean) opinion, and the Board has recommended a modest final dividend of Rs. 0.30 per share subject to shareholder approval.
Full-year revenue and profit growth are robust and shareholder-friendly, but the sharp Q4 profit drop and two consecutive years of negative operating cash flow (-Rs. 6.74 crore in FY25, improved from -Rs. 23.54 crore) suggest working-capital pressure that investors should watch closely.
