Consolidated Q2 operating revenue rose 34.8% year on year to Rs 1,779.04 crore and net profit rose 29.0% to Rs 760.26 crore. Earnings per share was Rs 20.91. However, half-year revenue and profit were nearly flat at Rs 2,766.59 crore and Rs 1,181.51 crore. Operating margin fell to 57.35% from 61.66%, while operating cash flow stayed positive at Rs 898.05 crore. The board declared a Rs 2 per share interim dividend. Auditor review was unmodified.
Strong Q2 profit and dividend may support the stock, but lower margins and nearly flat half-year profit could limit gains.
