ONGC's board declared a first interim dividend of Rs 8 per share (160%), totalling Rs 10,064 crore, for FY 2026-27. The record date is November 12, 2026, with payment due within 30 days. Standalone Q2 revenue rose 33 percent to Rs 43,875 crore and profit rose 57 percent to Rs 15,489 crore; H1 profit was Rs 32,522 crore. The board also approved a five-year subsidiary loan of up to Rs 10,000 crore. The audit committee was not reconstituted.
Dividend and profit growth may support sentiment, but the subsidiary loan, audit committee issue and major legal demands remain risks.
