Oil India disclosed updates on two tax cases. In the GST-on-royalty case (Supreme Court), OIL agreed to deposit GST as per law within six weeks, subject to final outcome; cases tagged with Udaipur Chamber matter. In the Assam land tax case (Rs 2,484.81 crore demand for 2005-2024), the State of Assam told the Supreme Court it will withdraw the tax on mineral oil and move a bill in the State Legislature; the Court disposed of the case in OIL's favor.
Positive: Assam land tax demand of about Rs 2,484.81 crore scrapped as State agreed to withdraw. GST deposit required near-term but final ruling pending.
