On the reaction day the stock moved 0.3 pts less than Nifty Midcap 150 and 0.9 pts less than its Financial Technology (Fintech) peers, over the same two closes: a difference in percentage points, not a measure of what the filing did.
Minute windows have no benchmark: there is no intraday index history to compare against.
Paytm expects a 2.5 basis-point payment margin rise over two to three quarters as UPI merchant pricing starts. At ₹28 lakh crore GMV, this is over ₹700 crore, with FY28 benefit near ₹900 crore. Revenue grew 28% for a second straight quarter, above 30% excluding prior-year fund income. Management plans merchant charges for AI tools within nine months, about ₹400 crore device capex and up to ₹500 crore for overseas investment over 12 months.
UPI pricing could add over ₹700 crore to profit at current volume, but share spending, device capex and overseas investment may offset some gains.
